APPROVAL TO AWARD BID #8121 FOR CUSTODIAL MAINTENANCE EQUIPMENT
Description
Bids to provide 'Custodial Maintenance Equipment' were received from six vendors on March 19, 2008. The bids of Coastal Chemical & Paper Supply, Inc., Faitella Enterprises, Inc., dba The Paint House, and Resource One, Inc., were the best low bids meeting the advertised specifications. Reasons for not selecting the apparent low bid are included with the bid tabulation. This bid is for a period of one year with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods. The funds for these purchases are contained in the capital budget already allocated to the Facilities Services Department.
Recommendation
That the bids of Coastal Chemical & Paper Supply, Inc., Faitella Enterprises, Inc., dba The Paint House, and Resource One, Inc., to provide 'Custodial Maintenance Equipment' in an amount not to exceed $495,000.00, be approved for award and purchase.
